Nexus Malls, has made yet another first-of-its-kind move, by signing Ayushmann Khurrana as our Happyness Ambassador!
After three successful years in India, this announcement makes us the first Indian Retail Real Estate Company to have a Bollywood celebrity on board as an ambassador. Adding to our efforts towards redefining malls and shopping in India.
Style Hashtags has successfully experimented with new themes and styles and the grand success of #BeautyAndTheBrands led to SGC mall introducing its second edition in the month of August. Presenting a plethora of offerings to our customers has led to the evolution of this campaign, with the likes of TV actor Smriti Khanna and lifestyle blogger Tanvi Thakker joining us to buy cosmetic and skincare products for their daily routine. Brands like Forest Essentials, Daniel Wellington, Voylla, Aldo Shoes, Charles & Keith, Mia, TheBodyShop and XimiVogue participated during the campaign.
The campaign also included beauty hacks shared by influencers and bloggers. And a master class, with trainer Navreet Josan, M.A.C National artist, on Bollywood makeup hacks. We added to the happyness with a free consultation by M.A.C experts on August 24th and August 25th, 2019.
Following the very successful seasonal property, #SummerVibe, Style Hashtags introduced a new fall concept, #AutumnVibes. Welcoming the cozy autumn hues of AW’19 into the Nexus Malls portfolio. The hashtag will promote curated looks featuring various brands and their latest Autumn/Winter trends. With a few surprises for all fashion enthusiasts around. #Autumn Vibes is live and running at Westend Mall and Ahmedabad One Mall. We achieved our targets, AGAIN! Recording the second biggest victory for the Nexus Malls portfolio. Mission 800 came to fruition through the efforts of our team members and retailers, helping us cross 800 crores in revenue during the Asli Happyness Wala Sale. These two months were a roller coaster of achievements by the brands and their team members. And our happyness was through the roof when we overachieved on set targets.
Celebrations at the Nexus Malls portfolio are always a little larger than life and when it came to celebrating India and her people, we marked the day with a whirlwind of activities. Flag hoisting ceremonies, emcee led activities, tricolored décor and instagrammable photo ops at Elante and Ahmedabad One were a part of everything we did this Independence Day. The real highlight though, was an Independence Day parade at Elante, Chandigarh, all wrapped in patriotic colours.
August 8th, 2019 marked the beginning of a coffee revolution in Gujarat as their first ever Starbucks opened its doors at Ahmedabad One. Coffee lovers dropped by for a freshly brewed cuppa and the announcement over digital platforms had more patrons lining up for a quick coffee fix.
We launched our first ever NPL during the Asli Happyness Wala Sale. And our determined retailers didn’t just achieve their targets but exceeded the set numbers. Under anchor category brands, Pantaloons, FBB and Reliance Digital achieved their targets multiple times over. The Vanilla category was a close second, with brands like Caratlane, Chumbak and Hush Puppies achieving their set targets. OnePlus, ColorBar and CCD also did exceedingly well on multiple occasions during NPL.
Every year, Nexus celebrates Compliance Day across the portfolio, to stay up-to-date with any sort of disaster preparedness. This year, we conducted mock drills to educate our patrons on how to survive through an unexpected terror attack. The workshop included topics like basic techniques on survival, knowing necessary escape plans and dealing with a hostage situation. The drills were conducted on August 30th, 2019 and have prepared the patrons and the employees for any future emergencies.
